breaking tollbooth stranglehold on camp gilb.
we all know how boring the choke point of tollbooth is once PAC has taken harbor.
I will offer what I have found to be effective and if anyone has any advice, it would be helpful as well.
once the stalemate is in effect, you need to time any kind of attack perfectly. look skyward for thier uav. when it is gone, you will have about a min to break through on foot if you can get a massive push. have your whole squad be assualt medics run and gun through the east lane. get behind the bulding and fight your way through to central camp/ruins. the western lane is rarely successful imo.
group up outside north center wall and go in through the doorway to the center flag area. This is brute force. players should spawn on sl and get on the flag really quick for a fast turn before the rooftops notice.
buggy rush. this needs coordination. you need an engy and a medic and a support outside of toll. buggy with SL waits at harbor for the go signal. support throws down box, engy camps box, medic revives. engy SPAMS motion mine bait. if a walker is present, throw the motion mine bait at the walker. I have had a lot of success with this lately. once the lane is clear, give the go signal and have them go down the west lane. once they get through, the engy fireteam moves on toll flag through the center route. while SL fireteam moves on to ruins.
any other ideas?
mostly it is just picking the right moment to break through by looking at the minimap and keeping yourselves in the position to pounce.
even if it makes sense to just camp for nade and rocket kills, it is boring as hell, i would rather loose trying to actualy gain ground then play for the stalemate.

..or you coul just go to the little house there and pay your toll. So the natural inhabitants wont get angry at you.

The sniper decoy covers much of the Toll Station flag, so you can decoy cloak through Toll.

I really think the door right in the middle of toll both is much more accessible than the lanes, and you have some cover when you get in. You just have to watch the people who are spawning right behind you.

Another vote for the decoy. Been loving this unlock more and more lately. But, I agree with you Sc1ence, breaking this flay is all about timing. Another way to help get the road clear is the Zeller, but this may require time that is not available.

Re: Assaulting Camp Gibraltar: Breaching The Lines!
A buggy rush to Toll Station or beyond in the opening seconds of the round will almost always work, as motion mines won't arm by the time you blast through. Unfortunately, your squad is usually on its own until other squads spawn in on a freshly capped flag, unless the CO is nice enough to support your breakthrough.

Motion mines, hah! A few of the 3rd found out yesterday (to Reaper's dismay as he was our engineer) that if you drive backwards through toll station you can pitch out motion mine bait. We made it through toll and were well on our way when we happened to run into Guardian's squad. Now I don't know what they were doing at ruin when we were the first people to cross toll station

I always see EMP and motion mines out at Toll now. Any team that is only motion mining Toll is just asking for buggies to get by.

in my experience there is no official technique to breach Camp G, new defence strategies will be followed by new assault strategies and so on. As the saying goes "when one door closes another will open".

All sounds good on paper - but plans usually give way to meat grinder mayhem or silly attempts - I still love it!
