When to use a spawn beacon
I realize some discussion on this has occurred in other threads, but i thought having just one place for this might be a good idea.
I find that the spawn beacon is overused. There are certainly times when a spawn beacon is useful, but i'd say nine times out of 10, i'd rather be able to spawn in on the squad leader. Additionally, the information given by the otus drone is wonderful, but even if a squad leader doesn't have that, i usually prefer the spawn beacon to stay safely equipped. Not using the spawn beacon avoids the tell-tale sign of podding in, keeps a squad together, allows a squad to push forward without having to continually move the beacon, gives an instant spawn, avoids the spawn beacon being killed and having NO squad spawn point, avoids people spawn beacon camping, and so on. anyway, i thought maybe people could give their opinions on when the beacon should be used. sparingly would be my answer, but i'lls tart it off: 1. When you've captured the back flag and you're planning on maintaining a defense there for the rest of the game. |

Re: When to use a spawn beacon
3. When you want to maintain an attack from a certain location, or consistantly hold off an attack. (Camp Gib, taking Harbour, and just holding the line and not taking Toll Station... becaon to avoid the long hump to the front line.)
