'E' can be used to avoid a TK too. Several times someone has blindly run in front of me and I hit 'E' to jump out of the vehicle. They still die but I don't get the TK.

I was unaware of this until one day in sidi power plant I was crushed by a friendly air transport. I learned fast though and now hold the E key to avoid getting crushed once again by a couple of tons of flying steel.

Since reading this post I am holding E before approaching a vehicle I want to enter, and it is a habit now. Also out of habit I still try not to stand in front of moving vehicles.

So what happens if your standing in the way of a moving vehicle with your E pressed, your thumb out and the vehicle is full? Do you die?

This is as good as not holding the E key at all. You will be roadkill.

yeah. this would have helped in the internal tg scrim. we got off to a rough start when i ran over the other 9th SL in the first ten seconds of the match.

ive known about this for a while and thought everyone knew. it works in bf2 also. but at times it fails when trying to get in a vehicle when you are standing and the vehicle is moving

This is good to know. Unfortunately I tend to get run over because I'm running in the middle of the road like a moron ('Run Forest, run!). So either I need to just hold down 'e' every time I'm on a road, or EA needs to add the 'Butt-eyes' unlock.
