Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
Well, the Hachi missiles are much easier than the gunship's. I still can't get the gunship missiles down (most of my missile kills are from the pilot lining me up nicely and me making minor corrections in case they move) but nailing Goliath panels from a Hachi is fairly simple.

"I still can't get the gunship missiles down"
I'm glad theres at least someone else that still has some issues with them, its better since a couple patches ago that smoothed it out a bit, but for me it's still a tad touchy, I actually hit once in a while. Whereas bf2 I'd be flying across the map seeking out targets easy. Given a certain notorious few of the 3rd are as far as I can tell from the ground watching having a near 100% with them, does let me know theres one way or another to get them down, whether it took any extra settings fiddling, I'll never know. Nor do I really get enough pilot/gunner time to experiment. (Better to let aces to take than flub around with it).

Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
I've gotten decent with the TV, its just like any other skill, lots of practice and some luck.
Lyra pointed out a good... point (whatever is 4:30 am) don't overadjust, take it nice and easy and you will get your shot, kind of like a first date I suppose

Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
It helps me to keep in mind that the game actually adds a fraction of a second of artifical "lag" for the TV controls. Reminding myself of that helps me curb my habit of really cranking on the mouse when the reaction isn't immediate.

Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
That little tip really made it far easier to hit targets. The easiest way is still to have an excellent pilot line you up for a nice shot and make only minor adjustments to correct for movement, but I've had a few really nice arching shots. Most of my misses, at least, are overcorrecting at the last instant. Speaking of which, a single Hachi per side on Tampa would be incredibly powerful.

Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
I think the hatchi is awesome, and should be modded into vanilla 2142. I hate northern strike maps, but I'm all for more TV missiles.

Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
Especially port bavaria. I'm just not a fan of vehicle maps the way I love me some infantry maps. Hate is too strong a word. I occasionally have a good time on NS maps, but the love isn't there.

Port Bavaria isn't as much as vehicle map if played on a 32 player sized map with 52 people. It becomes much for infrantry based and i find it fun. I recommened trying to find a server like that if you are interested.

Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
I agree with panda, Bavaria is by far my favorite of the NS maps. When played on the 64 player map with 50+ it is a very tactical battle for the infantry. Once we started playing the 32 player version on Pfrosty Pfriday I think it lost some of its luster due to the meat grinder for EU on the initial assault because you only have one dock to pod up to. On the 64 player map you have 3 places to land and start an assault. Bavaria Titan is pretty fun as well.

Re: Master the Hachimoto TV Missile (including short Video)
agreed, but then again why stop there? Some NS vehicles could made vanilla maps a little more flavorful. Just would need a new option for servers etc.
