Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
Ok ..sorry Bom I appologize for my charity and regret my actions!
P.S. Time to fire up FRAPS, ADOBE PREMIERE and DIVX to make a full blown rocket voice guide movie with cookie spots on all major infantry maps and red circles where bom usually hides.

Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
The video lies, you have to set the range like he says, but then aim the rockets straight up in the air. When they explode they'll release homing shrapnel which will fly towards the enemy and explode and kill him.
And if you don't believe that, then using rockets kills baby kittens. So to avoid killing cute little kittens just use the recon kit.

Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
Nice job Lyra, way to ruin BF2142 for me. As a sniper, those PK rockets are my nemesis...and my only ally was ignorance. Gone are the glory days where I'd only have to look at the players tag to know if I'd have to be creative in dodging rockets.

Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
Nice find there Lyra. Unforunately on the TG server the chance of someone not being able to fire the rockets properly is very low. However public servers are a whole new matter. Having 3 guys all firing rockets at you and them all exploding short is just so much fun.

Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
Nice. I personally know that I need this kind of advices
Btw, I wanted to say "hi" to Lyramion, the first TG member I met (on Squadplay all the way ...I did'nt actually met him.. but his line of sight met my head and I have 10 seconds to think " wow, I just met a TG member" before respawning ).

Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
I never bother with rockets unless I have a surface to bounce them off of. I suck at estimating distance, and my scroll wheel is all futzed up, so I just fire them at surfaces hoping for collateral damage.

Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
This thread needs to be buried, the last thing we need is more people using rockets =P

Re: Starter helps for Noobs - PK Rockets
Wow. I never even knew that you could change the range at which the rocket explodes. lol
I'm much more of a supply dude myself but this was still awesome to know.
