    Don't know if its been mentioned, but you can also use EMPs in the way you would use smoke in BF2. When rushing a flag, toss in an EMP before you go. Anyone around the flag gets disoriented and cannot aim as accurate. Except those with exceptional skill who know exactly where the reticle is even if it isn't displayed. The EMP effect lasts a heck of a lot longer that the 2142 smoke grenade.

    You did the right thing. The only thing worse than having to sit in a walker and wait to die is watching an enemy use your walker to tear up your team. It sucks, but kudos for sticking it out.

    I don't care if you know you can kill the guy who's emping you, or if you've been screaming for assistance and no one has come. If you can't see the flames licking your vehicle already, don't get out.

    What you DO want to do is switch from the driver seat to the AA seat of the walker. When the driver seat is unoccupied the walker will slump down into 'unoccupied' mode which may throw off an inexperienced EMPer. Additionally, the little AA gun's movement is a lot harder to notice than the walker's main guns so you might inch it towards them and be able to take them out.
    My sanity is not in question...
    It was a confirmed casualty some time ago.

    That is a really good tip, thanks for the idea. Of course now when I'm trying to emp a walker I'll make sure not to fall for it...

    Bumping for great justice! For the love of god if you are in a fully operational 6 Person Squad bring EMP Grenades! I don´t care for your Sentry killing two guys. EMP grenades are the difference between a walker mowing down our whole squad and the walker trying to run away from our squad being scared. Many people know I can use a walker well and you know what I am scared off most? Not the Pilum, not Motion Mines and not the Orbital - its EMP Grenades because they can basically be a 1 hit KO in the hands of a skilled squad.

    EMP Grenades next to the Defib are THE Teamwork item in this game!

    Emp grenades and I have had a long and satisfying love affair. Not the kind where you're meeting in seedy motels and paying in cash so there's no paper trail, the kind where you meet on a midnight train ride through Italy, and you spend your time reading Yeats naked while eating strawberries.

    This is true, there is nothing worse than having yourself repeatedly EMPd in any kind of a vehicle.
    But even so, if you are being EMPd, you must stay within the vehicle.
    If you stay in, you will either break through or die with the vehicle, losing one ticket.
    If you bail, you will surely lose your ticket, you will give the enemy a vehicle, and that will cost us many more tickets and grief.

    Yes it is annoying to be EMPd and not be able to fire back, but if you are properly coordinating your efforts with your squad, you will be able to rely on them to take out the person EMPing you.

    If you are on my team and you're getting EMPed, please stay in the vehicle until you either break free or die trying. If you are on the opposing team, feel free to get out and go looking for that support guy that is giving you such a hard time.

    Note: I'm using it a lot more often on TG servers now, since I used to pub, and was still fairly new to TG when I wrote this, I never realised its usefulness in a squad.

    If you think that is bad you don't want to know what his relationship with the radar grenade involves. After hearing about Gloop's exploits I've lost all respect for the radar grenade.
