Using hubs to unstick Crit Wounded
Hi guys, I just wanted to let you guys know that medical hubs DO unstick critically wounded teammates to allow you to revive them.
Remember that one time when you couldn't revive your squad leader because the defibrillator wouldn't work on his body? Well, usually it's blamed on "Aww man, you're stuck in the wall! I can't revive you!"
I've heard rumors that it may be possible to unstick your teammate if you threw a hub on them. Well, I've just about confirmed it. I've seen at least one clear case in which 3 medics were trying to revive one of my squadmates who was down on a small pile of rocks. They were unsuccessful in reviving my SM until i threw out my medical hub on top of the body. When the hub landed, the body clearly shifted it's position above the rocks and around the med hub, allowing the medics to heal him immediately.
This method is not 100% proven to work, but if you are a medic and you do come across a situation where your teammate will not be revived (and you're sure he's not killed all the way) then it's definitely worth a shot to throw your hub onto the body. Especially if it's your squad leader that needs to be healed.umm... hello?

That's one thing I can't stand. It's a chance for some easy points, yet the revive doesn't work. I'm going to try this med-hub miracle right now.

Interesting, will have to put this to the test.

Well, it's not very often that a body will get stuck, maybe once every few rounds.
umm... hello?

Brilliant. does the same go for legs that go through walls? or just uneven surfaces?

Yeah, this has worked since BF2. Good to remind or even teach new people about this though.

Re: Using hubs to unstick Crit Wounded
It has worked every time I do it, though there may be a few instances where it doesn't work.
I haven't tried it when feet are stuck in walls, but I do know that I have revived people who had their feet sticking through walls, so there is some hope still.umm... hello?

While it doesn't work 100% of the time, chucking that hub has allowed me to save at least a few more lives. Excellent observation Aero.

Someone on the PoE2 server had mentioned this worked with med bags, but they were unsure about BF2142’s hubs. Thanks for testing it out and sharing your results with the community, Aerosecurity.
Last night, I had difficulty reviving my Squad Leader in a stairwell and thought all hope was lost. However, I remembered this post and threw a hub on his body. Sure enough, this method worked and we were able to continue on with our mission.

Re: Using hubs to unstick Crit Wounded
This worked for me today during the scrim when someone was floating half in a wall... The med hub literally lifted them out and allowed the defibs to do their job. So, as far as I am concerned, I'd say this is confirmed to work.

Re: Using hubs to unstick Crit Wounded
Hey, I remember this too. This technique was actually useful in at least 3 different situations throughout the scrim. There was actually one time when me and another medic threw down our med hubs at the same time (but I think he got the revive).
PS. I'm sure Bommando will be very pleased to know that he can still be saved if he goes down near a wall or other obstacle (not too good for the medics who don't reach him in time, though).umm... hello?

Re: Using hubs to unstick Crit Wounded
This trick has turned out to be pretty handy. I'm planning on taking it to the next level with a Recon. My theory is that with RDX we can not only unstick casualties from pipes and other various debris but also fling them to the back lines where the Medics can work safely.
