Re: Clark-RDX
Much truth here. The only time I'd not take EMP nades would be on vehicle light/infantry heavy maps. I've gone entire matches never seeing the enemy APC on Berlin because the engineers are so quick to blow it as it turns a corner. Then again, on infantry heavy maps I'm taking the IDS because the extra situational awareness is awesome. Usual loadout would be IDS/Sentry or EMP/Sentry. But hell, sometimes you just want to play around and have a laugh so IDS/Clark RDX is fun. Its even more amusing when you pick up a SM's kit to revive and you hear "HEY! Who brought the Clark RDX?!?" over VOIP.

A simple diagram as to why the Clark RDX is basically garbage:

Re: Clark-RDX
I hope you're able to explain that diagram Aspie. The Clark RDX doesn't only fire straight up like a mortar, but can be lobbed like a grenade for longer distances until it loses its forward momentum and falls at a sharp angle.

SUN!
Oh, and the rocket range should be a line that goes off the page, straight onto another window, that's how awesome they are.

Re: Clark-RDX
i think the point of the picture is that while rockets have a very low arc and thus are extremely easy to aim with only a little practice, and grenades have a little bit higher arc, the RDX shotgun's arc is so high that it makes aiming precisely very difficult.
I don't think that's the biggest problem with the RDX shotgun, but it is one of them.

Re: Clark-RDX
Maybe not the biggest problem, but close. Accuracy sucks too. The thing randomly shoots to the left or the right sometimes, even while perfectly still and prone. But anyway, if you could actually see the target you're shooting at when it's something more than 50m away, that'd make it a lot easier to humiliate them.
Oh and Sc1ence, I used your tactic the other night. And I did laugh that someone died from it. Oh yes, I did laugh.

Re: Clark-RDX
Since this post, I have seen the use of the Clark-RDX go up at least 5 fold! As of yet though, I haven't seen anyone use it with much effectiveness. Everytime I hear one of those being shot off I just think, "You poor soon to be dead fool."

Re: Clark-RDX
This talk about FRAPS and the Clark-RDX stirs up ideas.....

Although, it wouldn't go along with Zoopy's idea...
*Fires up FRAPS and hits the Battlefield*

Re: Clark-RDX
After years of training pain and suffering I finally mastered the Clark-RDX. Its a deadly and evil weapon in the right hands.
