Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
I used the Krylov some tonight. It does rock, but the smaller clip makes it a two kill only weapon.

Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
Heh, I love people calling the standard guns two kill weapons. I can sometimes squeeze 5 if I'm really on/a bit of luck thrown in. Usually average at least 4-5 with the Voss and usually a min of 3 with any other. Just tonight on Tunis I got 8 with the Krylov... but, that was with the help of people hiding near an explosive barrel.

Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
Listen to Lyra. This has been our experience from our start in competitive leagues. All things being equal, the Krylov will tend to win against a Voss. While it may have a smaller magazine, it will see you through a sudden one-on-one with an enemy.
It says something when EU teams will actively steal Krylovs from dead PAC players.

Please refer to the screenshot thread for information as to why there are so many complaints about any kind of weapon on the EA forums. We generate those complaints on pub runs. Seriously guys, for the sake of pubbies and smacktards everywhere, could we try to suck a little more?

Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
Totally! In the average CQC, I'll want a Voss over most other guns, but competition play I'll want to be packing my Krylov for sure. I guess what I didn't really mention well in my original post is that I try and stretch my clips as far as possible. When I find myself below ten rounds I'll reload, or even earlier depending on the situation.
Definitly echoing Fehmart on his point; I'll always grab a Krylov when they're out there. Though I think I'm gonna try a day with the Scar and see how it plays out.

I'll take a M249 SAW vs. your Voss in CQC.

Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
Well, if you got really nice accuracy, you can take out maybe 8 people with the Voss at short range (5 to 15 meters) using a max of 5 rounds each person. At close quarters combat (0 to 5 meters) there is almost no way you are going to not hold down that fire button, when that happens, you're using 20 rounds per person, so it just depends on how well you handle yourself in combat.
The Krylov is even better but you got fewer rounds. The EU AR... what's it called again? The one that no one ever uses? Anyway, I've been using that quite a bit too. I usually keep it at semi-auto and use it as a mid ranged weapon. Also works pretty well at short range as well (still single shot), at close quarters, well, let's just say that it's about 6'2" short of a happy trip.umm... hello?

Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
Well, I gotta say that I have been using the Voss and have grown to like it. Last night I ended up picking up a Krylov and found it much more effective at short to medium range. I think that the people who complain about the weapons, just are not very good with them. I see what I am killed with and want to get that weapon to see what it's all about.
Basically, the weapon doesn't make the soldier.........the soldier makes the weapon. Although the differences may sway one way or another, if you don't know how to use it........it really doesn't matter.

Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
To those that like using the Krylov however are discouraged in continuing to use the gun because the faulty keybinding is a deal breaker, I suggest continue using it anyway. After using it enough times, it becomes a non-issue. I have been a PAC/Krylov, EU/Voss user since my soldier's inception (after getting the Voss unlock) and I am comfortable with the keybindings. It just takes time unfortunately.

Re: What's the Deal With the Voss?
Krylov >>>>>> Voss
Every pro mod game I've been in, as EU I'm constantly looking for a dead PAC soldier's kit to steal their Krylov. It's so much better.
