Hi there, I have a question regarding getting players into squads when I am Commander. How do you invite unassigned players into squads? I usually just post a message to all on my team to join or make a squad, but this seems ineffectual.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid, if you're playing as commander, I don't think there's anything you can do about it other than post a message.

Well, On our server you don't have to do anything. If they do not squad-up, then they will be kicked from the server automatically. Otherwise, all you can do is post a message and hope they join and follow orders. It has been so long since I played on any other server than TG.........then again, why torture myself.

I like to write things like:

"Hey, see how squad 1 got a supply crate? You could have had that if only you squadded up!"

and,

"I love Squad 2, what have the rest of you done to earn my love eh? Nothing, that's what!"

I dont bother myself with it too much, they will get kicked if they dont join a squad. And its not like it doesnt warn them every 30(?) seconds.

Augustus... you assume those who do not squad up read the text. If they read it, they would have seen their name flash across saying "Join a squad or you get kicked in X seconds"

Edit: This brings me to another point... i would like to see voice chat for the commander to talk to EVERYONE, and voice chat for those nearby. Just two hopes of mine that will never come to fruitition.

Actually I'm joking, DL. I don't know anyone who'd take the time to actually type those things out when you could be accomplishing something. Besides, no one fails to join a squad on TG anyway, so the OP must be talking about other servers.

I wish those messages was'nt with the kills. It's so hard to see them with it scrolling so fast, plus I'm usually to busy not trying to get killed to look up there.

If I notice more than 4 people I will typically ask my squad leaders to open their squads or send some invites. and if I have too many 1 man squads I just tell them they need to follow orders, and my orders are squad up with another squad.
