Re: Better playing BF2142 in XP or Vista?
Vista...you either grow to hate it or love it, unfortunatly most gamers lean more to the hate. Vista is just made to be "pretty" and "secure". Personally if you're a part of the overclocking club always go for the XP SP2(Service Pack 2), it frees up a lot of that precious $400 of OCZ you can always invest in. Vista supports DX10, and with games like Crysis coming out that support it you might want it. Honestly, I have seen tests where XP had +20FPS improv. vs. Vista, and I have also heard rumors that a Service Pack 1 will be out for it in the near future, which hopefully will fix many things. My opinion is to setup your system to Dual-boot, like I did so you get the best of both worlds. Harddrives are pretty inexpensive now-adays, even the RaptorX at 10,000RPMS is under $200 on Newegg.
