Patch

I donwloaded both the 1.25 patch and the 1.4 tampa patch. but whn i try to open them nothing happens. I get an arrow for about 15 - 20 seconds and then nothing after that.
Any ideas?

Where did you download them? Poss corrupted, you may try re-downloading from EA or filefront and retrying. Best of luck.

Thanks, i got them from the place that it directs you too when you first log in. I dont understand why, because this is the second time i've installed 2142 and it worked fine last time.

PCs can be VERY frustrating sometimes, but still a lot more worth playing than Console games IMO.

I recommend you download 1.4 from a torrent like I did.

Uninstall BF2142, reboot, reinstall BF2142, install patch 1.4. Option Steps: Install Northern Strike, install patch 1.4.

Yeah I forgot to mention,if you install 1.25(this is what happened to me at first) then it will screw up the game if you then update it with 1.4,so just apply the 1.4 patch.

i downloaded 1.4 patch and when i double click nothing poped up so i left my computer for a while and when i got back the installer window was their so i think you should try waiting after you click. hope this helps

Yes,

If you have an old computer, then the 1.4 patch will take some time to initialize itself (decompressing files on temp folder).

A defrag before and after the patch will also help.

HUGE PROBLEM!
for the love of all things **** up......

i downloaded the file you linked, but when i went to install it , it said...
"You already have a newer version."

so i entered battlefield 2142 again , and it didn't ask me for a new update, (PHEW!) and it said 1.40 in the corner .

BUT!!!!!!!!!!! But unfortunately , i pressed the update list button , and it didn't show any server, but when i pressed the [X] button thing to show servers which don't have the same version as me , it showed me 145 servers!!!!

OK! , so wtf should i do now?

anyway , i also got me Northern Strike , and it doesn't even recognize it!

I reinstalled the game twice and tried patching it with the correct order.
Downloaded the 1.40 patch from 3 different places.

AND I STILL CAN"T SEE ANY SERVERS! PLUS I PAYED FOR NOTHING SINCE I CAN"T PLAY AND IT ALSO DOESN"T RECOGNIZE NORTHERN STRIKE!!!!!!

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP PPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
