So, I downloaded and installed the drivers from
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...&GetDown=false for my onboard sound card. Upon installation, there was no sound. This continued ater rebooting. I went into the device manager to check on conflicts, there were none, but I did click on the rollback driver button. This also didn't fix anything. I'm about to try a system restore, will check back after that. |

Yeah, i've tried getting newer drivers from realtek myself but experienced the same thing! I found out it's best to stick with the drivers from the mobo manufacturer, even though they seem "outdated" at times.
