Thumbs down Mic troubles

been having trouble setting up my mic to work. I mess around with all the settings under the bf2142 controls screen but the threshold test still only goes about 1/10th the way, and fellow squad members can't hear me.

any suggestions, short of reinstalling and setting the threshold through the install?

Re: Mic troubles

Yeah, open your BF2142 directory (default= C/programfiles/electronicarts/battlefield2142)
In it, you should find an icon that looks like a mic called bf2142voicesettup. Run it, it should be the same one you saw after installing the game.

Re: Mic troubles

I have done that before and it did not recognize me. What your Second thing to try is go to - windows sound recorder and look under EDIT for AUDIO PROPERTIES and set your sensitivity there.

Re: Mic troubles

Test it on OS rather than BF, turn up mic boost gain (if you havn't already). If it's a line in one rather than USB, take it out of the socket put it back in (this has worked every time for me )
