1.4 but told there is something new

Ok so I am trying to get patched up to play but the game tells me there is a new patch that I do not have. When i try to look for servers it comes up empty as well. Highway Tampa is installed so i know 1.4 took.

I have installed 1.4 from EA, uninstalled then tried the same deal fromfileshack after reinstalling the entire game again.

So at this point I am about ready to try anything. Any ideas?

try Gamershell and see if it's just a dl problem. I never go thru EA when it comes to patches.

Could be a NS problem.

Game---1.4---NS---1.4

Otherwise I can't really think of anything else that causes that message.

Seems to be a NS problem combined with how I added the patches.

I fixed it by adding the 1.4 patch then NS and now it works... sort of.

I only see about 70 servers up but game monitor shows 1400 servers. :/

I recently did a complete reinstall of BF2142 and ran into similar problems. To expand on daithi1’s reply, the most successful process seems to be as follows:

Install BF2142
Patch to v1.4
Install Northern Strike
Patch to v1.4

You may still need to reapply the patch to match a lot of servers. If this does not work, the problem may be related to your server browser’s settings. For example, to see all 1,400+ servers listed on Game-Monitor, you would probably have to remove almost all of the filters.

I played before. Just not in a while. Had a reformat and am just trying to get set up again.
