Can't get 2142 to start (and does anyone remember me? :D)

Hey guys, been absent from TG for too long and I think I've forgotten how you're supposed to play FPS games

Got nostalgia the other day and tried to fire up 2142, but I don't even get the splash screen. EA link loads and then nothing. No processes in the task manager or anything. I googled and found the hotfix Microsoft released, but it didn't help at all. Any suggestions?

PS: How are you guys, and do you miss being gunned down by a maniac with a shotgun enough to help me?

Oh man, Deimos, long time no see!!

Navigate to your 2142 install directory, find bf2142pace.exe and the launcher file
right click them and set them to run in compatibility mode for 2000, launch the game, exit, then disable compatibility. Should do the trick.
