Verify ownership

I searched to no avail. I try to start the game like I always do, click the shortcut on my desktop. I get the message "log in to DL manager to verify ownership". I checked and I was logged out, so I logged in and got the same message.
All the games show up on the EADL manager, patches are up to date but still doesn't recognize it.

Any help? I really don't want to do a reinstall of everything. I am guessing that my luck just ran out.......LOL

That is EA, again...

I have auto log-offs with an error of wrong password, and now an error for wrong version...

Well, if you find nothing, there' always EA "Support".

Problem solved. You all are gonna love this one! Apparently at some point my date on my computer got changed to one month in the future. EA could not recognize this and therefore would not validate my game. I changed the date back to the proper date, all is fixed.

Ahhh, I stand corrected. I now have a punkbuster problem. Game loads, get into server, gets to kit selection and then I get a box that just says "punkbuster". Back to server screen I go. Any ideas?

OK, restored computer to a previous date and all is good now. What a damn mess. Don't mess with computer setting while drinking!!!

Reload it. Click uninstall for BF2142, go a little, then click modify, then un-check Punkbuster, then re-do the process, but re-check punkbuster. Hopefully it'll help

Remember, shot guns do not fix computers.

You have the options of getting a fresh copy of Punk Buster, contacting EA, or reinstalling [after removing any hidden files].

contacting EA should be only a last resort. :P
