First of all Hi...team up and tag name help
Hello TG Community,
I finally reinstall BF2142 yesterday, after my PC crashed one month ago. I have been busy and did not play a lot those last months and yes I am puting back everything in order to go back on the field today. Thus, I have a few issues that I would appreciate to be helped on if this would be possible.
1/ as my PC crashed I formated all of it. Now I have nothing in my profile from BF 2142. Even if i can log on with my soldier and found back everyhing I was wondering how to get back the |TG| tag before my player name. Also to be franck I do not really remember how to add it.
2/ This is the good one for myself. My brother recently purchased BF2142..instaled it yesterday in Ireland, where by the way he couldnot connect to create his profile(he was mad!) he is using a kind of wifi provider that seems to block a lot of things...this is not the issue. The question is that, I would like to know if there is a was that we can join online in the same side (EU or AS). As brothers, it would be cool that we can team up instead of shooting eachother....

Welcome back, and to try to answers your questions.
1. Once you've figured out your log in information (user name and password for EA) and log in you will see a screen with the list of all your player names. At the top of that screen is a blank space for you "tags". In order to get |TG| you'll need the pipes key which is (shift and \). The "pipes" won't show on the screen but will show in game.
2. When you both play on the same server you can always play on thye same side. Some servers limit your ability to switch sides once logged in, but you can usually swap easily enough. We have many TG from across the pond, who play with and against us on a nightly basis.

is a very popular way of meeting up for games
you can tell when they are on
what game playing and what server, join on that same server easily
can comunicate with text chat, even when one of your is in a game
can have a voip channel too
xfire is very good for "get togethers" and deserves its great popularity
I meet up with my cousin sometimes and xfire makes it easy
