Problem with USB headset
I am currently using a Logitech Clearchat Pro USB headset. I accidently moved my chair too far from the computer and it came disconnected. Now when I plug it in it shows up as an unknown device. I've spent the last hour or so googling but I can't find a fix for this at all.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks|TG-21st|Flexon

Re: Problem with USB headset
Did you try to reboot your rig? This has worked for me in the past with a similar problem. You can aslo check out your control panel under sound devices and audio to make sure it is still your default setting.

Re: Problem with USB headset
The first thing I did was reboot. The device does not show up under sound devices just my onboard sound and soundblaster card.

Re: Problem with USB headset
Try changing the port you have it plugged into, that often forces a redetection of the device as if it were new.

Re: Problem with USB headset
I've tried them all Lorax, I'm going to do a fresh install of windows...my computer is getting pretty buggy anyways. I'm usually pretty good at fixing computer stuff on my own but after going to the logitech forums I might have to return this headset.
There have been alot of people with the same problems and not one answer on how to fix it, just some BS about not having OS drivers upto date...|TG-21st|Flexon

Re: Problem with USB headset
Are you booting the computer up with the headset plugged in or not plugged in? That made the difference for my friend's Logitech Precision headset.
Edit: He had to either boot with it in or out, the opposite of what he was trying. Can't remember which offhand..."Give a man a match and he'll be warm for a minute. Light the man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life"

Re: Problem with USB headset
Thanks for the input guys, I just ended up going for a fresh install of windoze.
It works fine now so it is definitely not a problem with hardware...
I just hope it doesn't happen again|TG-21st|Flexon
