Northern Strike Problem.
First off - I'm Computer Illiterate.
That out of the way, I can't get NS to work. The main reason I didn't want to buy NS, was for this reason. I downloaded it off of EA Link (I bought the original game conventionally - No EA Link). DLed the EA manager thingy, used that to download NS and I click the "activate" button in the window after it's finished.
It comes to this page:
i have no idea what the gamecode is, but I gave it a shot.
On the back of my manual it says "The gamecode that relates to this game is - blah blah (a 4 digit number - not sure if it's like my serial number and I should keep it off the net)"
I type this number in and it says Invalid Registration Code.
I type my serial number in and it says this is already in use.

Still got my serial number, input that and got a message about it already being in use
Sent a message to EA Support Just before I posted this thread, hopefully they have the answer, I gave them quite a lot of details. If they can't solve it, I'm just gonna go steal £5 worth of cake to balance the world

I went through some very similar and confusing situations with EA and the EA Download Manager (formerly EA Link). Their system is very complicated and disorganized.
The code itself should should be 20 alpha-numeric digits.
If you download it from the Download Manager then you should be able install it form the manager itself without any codes or activation. That's how the US version works at least. I'm assuming your in GB and if you need to activate it then I think you guys may be using a different system. Here's what I would do...
1) Log in to your EA Account.
2) Click the Customer Service link
3) View your recent orders - The Registration Key will be located in your recent order information. In my particular case, the registration keys for all my BF2 / BF2142 content stopped appearing in my account information since I recently purchased Crysis. Luckily I wrote this information down at that time which may save me from having to file an EA CS ticket.
4) Make sure that you register the expansion to your EA Account in which your BF2142 solider / persona is located! Otherwise you won't be able to play Northern Strike with your current solider!
In regards to installation you will need to install in the following order:
1) Patch 1.4
2) Northern Strike
3) Patch 1.4
4) Patch 1.5

Already lost on Step 2...I cannot find any sort customer service link on the page unfortunately. The attempted help is appreciated though.
I'm currently in contact with EA though E-Mails, and none of the three they've sent me have solved the problem. I hope they'll get this right eventually, I bought a game and I want to play it, it shouldn't be this difficult or long. I hate that new registration thing they've done with expansions and what not, but i contacted EA through email and the guy helped me out pretty quick.

Actually I think #3 is the only one I can do right now since the other 2 have already being done...plus it sounds more fun than the others.
Ah well, thanks for trying bro. Actually the E-Mails they send me are relevant, but there's always one step that doesn't work how it says it will...I'm sure they will get it right eventually though, in all honesty, looks like they are actually trying.Anger is a gift - Malcolm X

Well, good luck with it. Hope it works out soon. It's a shame that such a dynamic corporation like EA, with so many great titles out, can't simply the digital download / installation process for it's customers.

If that's the case I would just try logging in a few more times - I fgot the same message here when I tired to retrieve my keys and actually had to log in a few times to get it to work.

I had the same problem with Northern Strike as a part of the Deluxe pack which I bought in a store.
I just contacted EA customer support, provided them the info that they required and voila, they activated the game for me in less than 5 hours.
