    CODEC for Teamspeak?

    I have seen a number of posts lately that have mentioned a codec problem in TS. Do we use a strange / special codec that is hard to get? Mine works fine as is but I thought someone may know.....

    1) Codec name
    2) Dowload location
    3) Instal info

    Might help some users as TS just multiplies the fun!!

    All codecs used by TS are installed along with it. When connecting to a channel the client sends a query to the server asking which codec to use and automatically switches to it.

    At least that is the way it works on my computer.

    I thought that was how it worked (installing codecs at first install)

    As i said, I don't have any trouble with mine but wanted to help those with troubles. So I suppose an uninstall and reinstall is the only answer!

    I would assume the ones with "trouble" where in rooms setup with a low bitrate codec, the the CELP codec. Generally, the Speex (25.9 Kbit) codec works well and shouldn't present any issues to anyone.
