Mic problems in-game and in TS
Alright, I use a Samson C01U studio mic, and suddenly it has stopped working for TS and in-game. It works fine in skype though, I have the correct mic selected under options. Any help?

Re: Mic problems in-game and in TS
Check the microphone threshold for the in-game VOIP, it might have been bumped up too high.
As to TS, I suggest changing the sound driver selection in Setting -> Options -> Sound Devices tab.

How strange, I've been looking into buying one of these as it saves me having to use phantom power on a non-usb condensor

Windows likes to ignore your microphone settings a lot of the time, Skype changes windows settings on and off when you're using it and when you close it. So mimic the skype settings in the sndvol32 settings when it isn't running.
Sorry if that seems garbled, I just typed at high speed, so it may not be phrased to make sense.Stay Awesome!

I find it too inconvenient to use my Shure mic, when I have the headset to use anyhow

Make sure in TS the Primary Sound driver is selected for Input, and/or just set it to your actual sound driver. You also have the option of just simply uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. Re: Mic problems in-game and in TS
I used a $20 headset from Logitech for 3 years, now I am using a $20 headset from Cyber Acoustics. Cheap stuff ftw.

Re: Mic problems in-game and in TS
Well I will say I do use my logitech headset, and the only reason I have one is because I do a podcast or two.
Essentially, all my settings got switched around. I just do a check when I turn on. Thanks for the help!
