Cant Hear VOIP
So I have a VERY annoying problem. Everyone was having trouble hearing me with VOIP saying I was very low. I had boosted it as much as possible in game so went to my sound card settings turned up my mic from like 80% to 100%. Log back into the game and now I cannot hear VOIP at all. I can hear all the game sounds just fine but cant hear anyone speak.
Check the in game settings VOIP is on do a mic test it registers and I can hear myself.
Check in windows. I can hear myself and mic test works.
I go onto ventrilo and teamspeak both I can hear people and people can hear me.
I have checked multiple servers cant hear VOIP on any.
So seems to be just an issue with BF2142. Im running Vistia, with all updates, using a Creative Soundblaster Xfi. Newest drivers. I have tried switching between. Software, hardware, and soundblaster in the audio settings of the game and nothing makes VOIP come back.
I have tried adjusting my mic level back down but that didnt fix the problem.
I have run the VOIP setup in the BF2142 folder and I am much loader now and picking up better.
I have tried reinstalling the game and repatching it.
None of this has had any help in bringing back VOIP. This is so very annoying not being able to do any team play it has just about ruined my desire to play the game. Can anyone shed some light on what else I can try to fix my problem. I have come very close to just completely reinstalling windows and starting from scratch but for the 5+ hour investment to get it reinstalled all my programs back on and updated all data backed up and alike.
If you need to know any more info about my setup let me know ill try to get the info you want. I just cant see why adjusting my mic level in windows killed VOIP.

Re: Cant Hear VOIP
Also TS setting may conflict with Game settings
Go top TS menu - settings/options/sounddriver - change to alternate and see if that works.
