ea download manager doesn't seem to work
I bought BF2142 earlier this year when i got my hp pavilion dv6707 (Vista)
it never really worked like it should, but now it doesn't work at all. After i finally downloaded patches, updates, uninstalled, reinstalled, screwed around with the registry (because of punkbuster) and spent a lot of time fixing stuff, it finally worked for about 2 weeks. Now everytime I launch the game it gives me the prompt to exit and download updates through the ea download manager. I click ok and then it exits the game and launches the download manager, but does absolutely nothing. nothing is downloading and there are no buttons to push, just the white background of the download manager.
Somebody please help, i love this game and hate to let my screaming fast broadband connection go to waste.

I had this issue some time back. If I were you, I'd make sure you have downloaded and installed the latest patch (1.5 at time of writing) which can be downloaded from the support section of the BF2142 official site.

Oh, if that fails to work, do an uninstall and reinstall from scratch.
