Has anyone ever had this problem?
1. I crash to the desktop whenever I click on any of my awards in the BFHQ section.
2. My points read something like 51097 / 0.
3. I have promotions and unlocks, but it will not let me unlock anything.
It only happens to my Wineo character. My son plays on the same account with the screename of Booman217 with no problems. Same computer, same EA account, and same everything.
I have tried tech support, but the answers they give do not resemble the question I am asking, thus, supporting my theory that you must sustain a serious head injury before EA will even conduct a job interview with you.
Ideas? Thoughts?

Did you possibly purchase Northern Strike?
The crashing to desktop thing with the awards generally happens when you patch 1.4, then Nothern Strike, then 1.5.
Although I can't see this, as your sons character doesn't do the same thing.
Anyway, proper patch method is 1.4, northern strike, 1.4, 1.5.
If you can, just try patching to 1.5 again.
May solve your problem.It's Gaming

it's a know issue with 1.5 of 2142. Normally just a reinstall fixes it, but otherwise I would recomend using www.2142-stats.com to look up your points as an alternative to the in game stats.

No problem, Click---> Battlefield 2142 v1.40 Patch. Every patch, etc you can find at that website as well. Good Luck

Thanks everyone. Just an update. The reinstall worked, but my points are still screw up. Shows something like 60981 / 0 and now Northern Strike will not finction bitching about modified content. I think I may try another reinstall. Thoughts?

Do you have an antivirus program running during install/gameplay? If you do I suggest disabling it or configuring it to not scan the game files.

I would crash in the awards screen when I clicked on an award. Furthermore, I couldn't play NS saying that I had modified content etc. and I couldn't select a NS unlock.
1- Uninstall and reinstall 2142.
2- Download and install the 1.40 patch.
3- Install Northern Strike (if you have Northern Strike otherwise skip this step.)
4- Install the full 1.40 patch again
5- Download and install the 1.40 to 1.50 incremental patch.

Skip the step about installing Northern Strike.
It should work if you install the full 1.40 patch then install the 1.40 to 1.5 incremental patch if you don't have Northern Strike. It should fix the awards crash.
