    Critical failure

OK here my prob. I resently installed windos xp on my cpu and formated the hard drive in the process. After reinstalling xp I intalled back varius progem and BF 2142. Now when I enter BF everything is fine but when I join a server after the load the instant I click on join game my cpu gets a critical failure and restart. I searched the net on where I could find the error log for the critical failure but this was in vain (maybe I just didnt saw it).

I have run out the ns possibility (had ns before but not anymore)
    I test my ram memory
I verified my directx version (up to date)
I verified my video card driver (up to date)
I tested the game in single player and the same thing happens just not as fast (it's not instantaneous but it takes like 3-4 sec)
I reinstalled the game and repatched it

So if anyone as any idea on what could be the source of the prob hardware/software plz bring light to my lost soul. Can't play bf and this is pissing me off pretty badly.

Odd. Is it too much of a hassle to reinstall the OS again?

Right click My Computer, go to properties, go to advanced, click on the hardware tab, and click on device manager. Are there any devices showing that have a little caution sign beside them?

And also, do you have drivers installed for your motherboard chipset as well?

When you formatted the hard drive, did you do a quick format, or a full format? Did you format in NTFS or FAT32?
