Conflict with Emulation Software detected.
So of course I just bought Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition for my laptop and I keep getting an error when trying to launch the game that says "Conflict with Emulation Software detected." I've searched all over my 1 day old Dell Studio 15 Laptop and can't find anything that looks like emulation software. Help?

below is a link for an EA forums topic related to your problem. Apparently it is a Vista/secrurom issue and their is a solution to it. On page 3 of the topic their is a file you need to download from securom that apparently solves the problem. Hope this helps.

thanks toetagger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I recently upgraded from 32 bit vista system to 64 bit vista and then this problem "cd emulation detected" I was going nuts for hours then googled the error and look where it lead me to TG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! followed the link and now I am saved thanks game works now ..must be vista 64 bit prob since the game was not origianlly designed for a 64 bit system. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!

Alright, just yesterday i bought a gateway fx model p-7805u specifically for gaming. Well, the problem is that after installing and trying to run the game a message comes up saying "Conflict with Emulation Software"??? Plz Help. I love this game and i pretty much got this computer to play it and now i cant. Thank You
