Vista: unable to transmit TS ingame
As the title says, so long as I'm in BF2142, I can't use TS. If I quit the game or alt-tab out, I can transmit just fine.
I've messed around with my sound settings over the holidays, but I made sure to revert everything back to the usual. Any suggestions?Fight!

If you are running Vista are you running as an admin? All I can think of. We miss your voice Zho.

Yep, I'm running the game as admin, and I haven't fiddled with that recently.
Last night, we had a full 3rd channel, and I thought people were jerks and ignoring me. Turns out, no one heard what I was saying because I was ingame.
Reaper had me with "You should have said something" when I rejoined the game. I kept asking for an invite in TS but he couldn't hear me.Fight!

Try changing the key (or button) you use for transmitting. Perhaps the game is intercepting it and it is never reaching TS.
You should ask someone to tell you if your icon lights up it TeamSpeak, it would help narrow down the cause.|TG| Lorian

This was my problem. I had bound TeamSpeak to a mouse button (which was bound to a keystroke). This worked fine as long as I wasn't in a game or in Steam (don't know why it didn't like Steam), but as soon as I got in game it would stop working. Oddly enough, the actual keyboard keystroke did work. When I reinstalled Vista to go from 32bit to 64bit, the problem went away. I don't know what it was, but my guess for my specific problem would be the mouse drivers I had loaded. Not sure if this helps or not...

I figured out my problem -- it was admin rights on the TS shortcut. Live and learn.
