"Restriction : Corrupted Packet Flow"

Recently I tried connecting to TG servers and got kicked for "Restriction : Corrupted Packet Flow"

The only changes I've made to my system between now and the last time I've been able to successfully connect to TG was clearing my FRAPS folder (had 40GB of video that I didn't even know I was recording), run CPU-Z to get my motherboard's model name (buying new RAM, had to find what's compatible), and remove a stick of RAM (falling from 2GB, to 1GB).

Unless browsing forums could cause corrupted packet flows... I don't get why I'm getting this Punkbuster error.

If the problem doesn't fix itself once I install my new RAM that comes in on friday, I'll try a manual PB update..

Any other ideas until then? =(

I have spent the last 2 days constantly getting freezes. The only way I could get a game in was to go with another of my soldiers for a few rounds.

I don't know if this will help you but try it.....can't hurt for a half hour or so.

You may be able to switch back after 1 round, it may take a few.

This is all that worked out of all the "fixes" I tried!

Do a punkbuster double take maybe? Run pbsetup and such, that seems to do the trick.

yea just re update your punkbuster it will fix the problem i encounter that problem before

Hmm, reupdating punkbuster is just a matter of re-downloading PBSetup.exe from evenbalance.com, running it, selecting BF2142 and click check for updates? or is there more to the process that I forgot about.

I tried getting on today, and I was able to connect (pre-update) but everything froze and I was treated to HellHarry saying ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba on voip for a half a minute while the KillBF2142 loaded up in the background. I re-updated PB through the steps I mentioned above, was able to connect again, but again it froze with looped sound.

The only significant change between now and before is I'm using one stick of RAM instead of two... I was still able to connect consistantly after upgrading my liquid cooling system, so it's not that, and installing Synergy didn't effect it either. It's only after I had to remove one of the sticks of RAM that I've been having connection problems. I'm wondering if maybe that has something to do with it?

My new RAM comes in tomorrow, I'll install it over the weekend and see if that makes a significant difference. Besides re-installing BF2142 are there any other suggestions? Or is there an alternative, better, way of manually updating PB? Or a step I forgot while updating?

Are you sure it was frozen? Sounds like Harry to me

Seriously, I've been having similar problems and updating PB hasn't helped.
I am going to try the old "clear the cache" method.

Another random issue came up today.

I was getting repetitive "Unknown Windows API function" errors from Punkbuster. I think it was caused by a problem with Synergy.

(for those who know what Synergy is) I hit scroll lock while the cursor was between my laptop and my computer to lock the curser on the comp's screen and I think that messed with Punkbuster. After restarting BF2142 the problem went away, but I'm not sure if it was caused by Synergy or not.
