Teamspeak question
Is there any way that I can see who's talking on TeamSpeak from another computer? Or some kind of overlay similar to Steam that shows me who's talking on TS? Not only do I not recognize alot of people's voices, but I often don't even know if the voice is coming from in-game voip, or TS. I tried dual clienting TS, but each account is limited to one user. Anyone know any other ways to do what I'm trying to do?

Slows down game performance so be sure to have a fairly recent computer if you want to run it.

Re: Teamspeak question
Yeah, TSO is great. I use it in fact. And, it does not affect performance that much, if at all. Apparently the creator is not working on developing it anymore, but is working on a similar application for future release.
Try it out. Works great in my opinion.|TG-128| xXOZXx

Sigh. "# TSO is not compatible with Windows Vista - please see this Forum Post"

Re: Teamspeak question
Here's what the developer has to say about TeamSpeak Overlay and Vista:
So in theory, you should be able to run this in XP compatibility mode. In order to get TSO to work properly, you can't be running any other screenoverlay program at the same time (e.g. Xfire, FRAPS, Steam, etc).

Re: Teamspeak question
I might give it a try then. I can't get my copy of BF2142 to run with Steam on Vista anyway, despite having tried all of the solutions listed on these forums.
Edit: Just to add, my sigh was not a sign of annoyance at the suggestion of using it - it was more of "Just typical, I can't use it in Vista."

Re: Teamspeak question
You're running Steam (and bf2142, tso, teamspeak, etc) as administer, right?

Re: Teamspeak question
Yep, indeed I am. I think that the problem lies with the fact that I'm using the EA download manager version of BF2142 rather than the disk version.
Also, I found that I sometimes had problems when I ran steam as an administrator with the other games in there so I had to revert Steam to using normal user access rights. It's not big deal, I'll see if I can get TSO downloaded and working.

Re: Teamspeak question
I've been using Teamspeak and TSO for a good while now. Firstly on XP, and now I've got a new computer with Vista on it. I already saw mentions that TSO will not work on Vista. Well, it does for me

I had a punkbuster issue with BF2142 which I solved simply by running it as Administrator, it seems PB is blocked otherwise. Upon doing this TSO disapeared, so being logical I then ran that as admin. No luck. Ok one last shot at being simple...run BF2142, TS and TSO all as admin.
....Problem solved it works perfectly. I'm not running any in XP compatability mode, think I tried that and it didn't help.
Perhaps Lorax knew this already XD but I thought I'd post it incase it helps anyone. Downside is it competely ruins my "shortcut" of a batch file by now having to enter 3 Admin passwords and theres nothing I can do about that (I already tried automatic entering but it disables all input...good security feature though). Could just log on as Admin in the first place whenever I want to play BF2142 I guess.
