Green/White Grid
So my motherboard was fried a while back, and I finally got it fixed. At the same time, I added a new video card and more RAM. Now when I play though, at crucial times, the screen will go mostly green with little boxes spaced every inch or so in a grid. I wish i could explain it better.
It seems to happen when I suffer anything more than a minor wound. So when you'd see a big red hit, I'm seeing the grid. It lasts for a second or so, which is obviously not optimal since I'd like to be able to see in my final moments of life.
I got something similar when I was commanding today, but the color was a little different. I zoomed in and it gave me sort of a white/yellowish grid with little boxes every inch or so.
99% of game play is fine. But it tends to happen when I'm being shot, so it's not good. I've been able to play TF2 without any problems.
Anyway, I've played with the graphics settings a little, but it still does it. Any ideas?

Re: Green/White Grid
Sounds like a video card that is acting up. I got a grid too a few days back on my laptop and then a day after it started to appear, my video card died and I had to send it in for repairs.

Re: Green/White Grid
well, i might believe that except every other game i've played hasn't had anything like this. I've tried it on Counter strike, TF2, Battlefield Heroes... nothing like this grid.
EDIT: Fixed. It was the Anti-aliasing.Last edited by Zoraster; 06-02-2009 at 03:21 PM.

LOL I was just starting to type a response to turn off your AA, while simultaneously reading that you already figured that out.
