mouse works in menus, but not game
ok, this is a good one...
I load up 2142, I tweak some hud settings and other stuff in the options. I then hop on the server..
BUT I can't do anything there! The mouse cursor doesn't move, and the keyboard doesn't interact w/ 2142 at ALL. Windows still knows what's going on as I can alt-tab out, ALT-F4, toggle numlock, etc... but nothing in-game responds to any input. ~ key doesn't bring up console, etc.
any ideas?

Your controls file got corrupted/wiped. Just reset it to defaults or copy over a backup.
