    Oven heated madness

    well i have this card called a radeon x800XT that i got from a friend but the cards crazy GPU core goes up to about 80-85 C when battles get heated and idles bewteen 70-77C or so but the extremely weird thing is that i dont get artifacts or ANY graphical weirdness. It gets this hot regardless of what game i play

    Should i still be worried?

    PS: i used Riva tuner to monitor the heat and i have the latest drivers. Every other component of my computer besides the mobo never goes above 52ish C

    I had an X800XL back in the day and while it ran hot, it never went over the 40's C. I'd say there's something wrong with your cooler.

    made a mistake it idles at about 50c it could be the cooler. The cooler its using is the stock one and i havent Oced it at all.

    It actually runs cooler now with the addition of a new case fan, but mind you, they are different cards. I idle 40-50 and am at 60 at load. It is overclocked though.
