Does anyone have lag issues lately?
It seems that starting from the past 2 or 3 weeks, I have terrible lag and it becomes unplayable.
My ping values are the same as allways.
I tested the TG backup server and I also had lag.
I tested public servers and I had lag.
???
EA master server issues?
Any tips?Proud former member of TG-E1st

Is it just to American servers or Euro servers also?

Re: Does anyone have lag issues lately?
Can't really help then. I've had some lag issues (more major than normal) to American servers in the last 2 weeks but they've cleared up now.
Being that it's to servers close to you as well, I'd be inclined to think it was an internet issue on your end rather than a master server issue. In Order to Dance

Ok time to do my day job with you real fast.
What type of internet connection do you have at your home?
Do you connect wirelessly or wired to that connection?
What brand of Antivirus and Firewall software do you run?
Other questions will follow post answers to these.

Re: Does anyone have lag issues lately?
I've had some TG server lag, but nt always. Euro servers are fine.
I did note however once that my TG ping was about 400, bu that's because Steam was updating AA3 in the background, and I didn't know, coz it auto-updates things. That's what I check first.BF3 Soldier: DrSparky

Re: Does anyone have lag issues lately?
I continue to have problems with lag on TG.
It seems that the more players they are on the server the more lag I have.
I noticed this when I was seeding the server, I was alone and no lag at all.
The map was small Tunis.
After an hour, when the server got full capacity, I had again lag issues.Proud former member of TG-E1st

Re: Does anyone have lag issues lately?
I have weird lag issues as well
My ping is normal but the server keeps lagging like my pc would not be able to run the game.. but i know it is and yeah i closed all backround-programms except of TS. I even make a restart before i start playing BF and stuff... it´s kinda weird

Re: Does anyone have lag issues lately?
Exactly as me!
My ping values are a bit better this summer (135), but seems that my PC could not cope with the game.
This is not true, my PC eats all games up to 2008 for breakfast! (P4@3.4GHz, 4GB RAM, GF8800, SATA HDD)
My Internet DSL link is 25Mbps (1Mbps upload)
One possibility could be our Internet backbone to the USA, or our Internet provider in general.
ISPs use some devices called "Traffic Shapers" to fine-tune network traffic into their networks.
BF2142 uses UDP for game updates and ISPs that deploy "Traffic Shape" devices are well known for prioritizing UDP at the lowest (an example is P2P traffic, this is UDP and ISPs hate P2P)
So I am almost sure that PC and game are OK.

Re: Does anyone have lag issues lately?
are you using low video settings? Sometimes the lag comes from your video card not being in sync with your monitors FPS, because it is overloaded

((Insert slightly witty, yet incredibly common-sensical quote here, to possibly ellicit a comment in one of thousands of posts on a rather popular web forum.))
