Anyone using a MAC with 2142?
Dementia has asked a question regarding TG tags and BF2142 on a Macintosh. Unfortunately, the silly man posted in the more general Help Desk forum rather than the specialized and uber-helpful 2142 Tech Support forum.
Any of our vaunted and zealous Mac users want to help him out?

Re: Anyone using a MAC with 2142?
Ok I dug deep into several help threads and found a quick fix posted by someone else....
For the || on either side of the tags.. rather than in windows going into the folder and reading text and making the adjustments there,,, simple fix was to just type \backslash TG backslash.. and although they don't show in the window they appear in-game.

Re: Anyone using a MAC with 2142?
Just a little addition to a solved thread for anyone else who may stumble across it.
Although a basic feature of OSX, many people don't seem to know where the background files for applications are stored, as there is no 'program files' folder for mac users. Right clicking the application and selecting "show package contents" reveals the background files.
For 2142 this means revealing all Windows files that cider is porting. Thus, most fixes for windows where you need a background file are in fact the same fix for mac, just a little more out of the way.
Applications/BF2142[Show package contents]/Contents/Resources/BF2142[Show package contents]/Contents/Resources/Transgaming/C Drive/Program Files
This is the path to the windows files.Last edited by LogicalHarm; 07-17-2009 at 02:54 PM.
