Names not appearing over friendlies

Sometimes names don't appear over friendlies' heads. It makes them look like enemies.
Sometimes they do appear, but in red.

Anyone have the same problem, or now how to fix it?

Its called 'red tag bug' and has been in every battlefield game, right from 1942
It cant be fixed in the client, its a game coding bug, luckily its not common at all

yea, its common, well at least I see it often. Sorry though, don't know of a fix for it.

Wow, that's probably the only bug I haven't witnessed. Does reconnecting solve it? I know it takes care of all the other name related bugs.

I seen it happen on occasion, after being mercilessly team killed.

I've had it happen on occasion as well. It's really annoying when it's really bad, because at any distance, all soldiers start to look the same whether friendly or enemy.

Usually when it happens to me though, it's only one or two friendlies that lose their tag, so it's bearable.

The "no tags" one frustrating. The name/tag isn't actually missing, it's just misplaced. I've stumbled across floating yet stationary tags complete with diamonds many times, no idea what causes them to get this way. It sucks when the person is in your squad, they call for a revive and according to the HUD they're north of you and you start moving that way only to find out they where right behind you to the south...

You could just look at their uniform, if that helps

As mentioned above in numerous responses... I have had it, but it has only affected a handful of friendlies at a time. Unfortunately it has resulted in several team kills before I realize I "have the bug". It usually resolves itself when the next map is loaded. I don't remember a time that the bug carried over into the next round.

It wouldn't work for PAC soldiers though since they retain their look when they pick up an EU kit
