Game keeps tabbing out to desktop

Any thoughts why the game would be fine for awhile and then it tabs out to the desktop and crashes. It has done this 4 times already and there was no problem this morning I updated a newer version of AVG anti-virus (9.0). Could that be the problem?

Yes I also installed AVG free v9, got the same problem as you so I uninstalled it, and it solved the problem.
When I used alt -tab when the problem manifested itself an application called "avg web browser" or something was visible, perhaps a clue to the nature of the problem.

I've been hearing this from loads of people who all say they have just upgraded to AVG 9. They say it happens at the top and bottom of the hour precisely.

Apparently their solution was to ditch it. there's probably a better one however.

Good to know. Uninstalled AVG 9.0 and ZoneAlarm firewall. Back to McAfee Security Suite for now. I hope AVG fixes this problem.
