    Crash When Viewing Awards

    I've recently returned to 2142 after a year of R&R. I've never had a problem with the game until now. Whenever I'm logged in and look to see what all I have left to do to obtain a reward the game just crashes.

    But, the really strange part is that I can view a couple of awards, but not them all. I thought maybe it was a problem with NS but some of the awards it crashes on are from the vanilla version of the game.

    I'm guessing I'm going to have to do a complete reinstall but I was hoping one of our resident digital Jedi could help me out before I resorted to that.

    Last I knew this was a 'known issue' the only cure being a manual uninstall and re-install... Even then it was not guaranteed to fix the issue. Best bet would be to plan out medals and whatnot using an alternative method such as EA's Online Leader Board. In the top right hand corner you can just do a search for your profile and plan things rather easily...

    I have the same problem and re-installing the game didn't work for me..

    I never use the in-game reward page to be honest with you. I have used it though, and it sometimes just froze for some seconds.
    Whenever I want to see my rewards, I'll use 2142-stats.com/ . Very sorted and all.

    BTW, we had a great game yesterday .

    I've had the same problem forever it seems as well, Takk. Don't think reinstall did anything, though I haven't tried in a while since I just use 2142-stats.com like Schaffie.

    Other people have said it before and I agree that 2142stats is probably better than EA's in-game stats in many ways, and it's not like not being able to click on your awards affects the actual game anyways.

    Sorry for the late reply. Hope you have sorted it out.
    If not, you could try this:

    Install battlefield 2142
    Patch with 1.4
    Install northern strike
    Patch with 1.4 again (ignore this if you don't have NS)
    Patch with v1.4 to v1.5 incremental

    Full 1.5 patch could cause the crashes when looking at medals etc in BFHQ and unmodified content error on NS servers.

    I've used 2142-Stats before, but that site is also crawling with spy ware, so I've been trying to avoid it...

    This is a odd problem. I have done 2142 installations that had this problem... then I'd uninstall for whatever reason then reinstall, voila all award viewing fixed. Currently, I'm in the install that I havn't had any issues as of yet.
