    im getting kicked by punkbuster?

    hey i just got on the server and 4 times already i got kicked and it said punkbuster. why is it kicking me?:S

    If this doesn't happen on any other servers you may have been kicked for a supporting member.

    it wasnt that. the server wasnt full.. and now that i joined again and it was 46(me being the 46th) i got kicked again.

    Odd, BF2142 is so finicky and since I havn't played in awhile I've been out of practice when it comes to it's "issues". I'm sure another member may post something more useful before I figure it out, but I'll look into it anyways.

    Actually, even if you are the 46th player, you can be kicked for a supporting member, like fall3n said. You are not a supporting member so the closer the server is to be filling up, any one of you non-supporting members could be kicked, not that hard to understand...
    Then there also could be the fact that you did not join a squad in 90 seconds

    He was in my squad when there only was like 40 players on the server and he got kick.. So it's probably punkbuster..

    Try and update pb it worked for me before..

    it dsnt kick randomnly. it kicks the longest playing non-supporting player on the server. u rly think i wouldnt join a squad lol?

    ill check it back in a bit

    I just had this problem about a month ago. I updated punkbuster, un-installed and re-installed punkbuster, etc. to no avail.

    I then figured out that the new, free Comodo firewall I had recently installed didn't fully shut down when I closed it, and it was blocking Punkbuster from running properly. Couldn't ever get the two to cooperate, so I un-installed the firewall and I was back to playing again. You haven't installed anything new on your system that could be conflicting have you?

    I think i might have found the problem. It has something to do when i put my pc into "hibernate". i have no idea why but when i do, it deactivates something in punkbuster that wont let me play.

    i restarted my pc and it was fine again. when i put it in hibernate again it did the same thing, so it must be that, although i have no idea why hibernation causes that.
