    Tags

    I need help putting the │ in the tag can some please give me instructions. Till then im using []

    We do not use [TG] so please remove that asap.

    1: Click at the end of the box where you have entered you incorrect tag.
    2: Delete everyting that's in that box
    3: Hold down shift key and type \tg\
    4: All that shows in the box is TG but accept that and move to the next screen.
    5: You should see your new "proper" tag at the top of the screen on the left.

    just be sure to read all our rules before you add the tag as wearing the tag is a statement that you read and understand all of our rules, you will be held to a higher standard that a non TG tagged player

    These last weeks or so i've been seeing a lot of players with their tags wrong. it's kinda ugle to see, so please fix

    Jazy, the shift+\ combination will only work on certain nationality keyboards (such as UK). Other localised keyboards have their | in a different place.

    in germany it is "alt gr + <"

    so the key right from the space-key + the button right form the left shif-key

    I always just copy and paste it from another thread, someone's name, etc. whenever I need to use it somewhere.

    What about in the US? Someone told me you have to change the files in bf2142. Others told me different. Im soooooo confuzeled......

    Well in the US most standard keyboards have | and \ on the same key... The part about editing your Profile inside the 2142 folder would work as well, but generally once you learn the trick to typing it out, things are just easier to go that way...

    Otherwise: My Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles\Global.con

    Open the 'Global.con' file in word pad (right click 'Open With...') Then edit the line GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix to be: GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "|TG|"
