Weird server lag?

I seem to be getting some really strange lag lately on |TG| basically the game "freezes" for about 1/4 of a second every 5-10 seconds. It is virtually impossible to aim or even walk forward without messing up.

I've tried decreasing my video settings in case it was that but i still get it on low settings.

Does anyone know what this could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Yeah I had the same weird lag earlier today.
must have played three rounds before I quit.

Was very laggy for me today also. I did notice there were two people on the server today that had pings of over 400. I wondered if it had anything to do with it.

Right now same problem for 30 minutes. I quit playing tonight, for it wouldn't work anyways. Server restart didn't fix it. Every 2 seconds a ½ to ¼ seconds of freeze.

Exactly what I was dealing with. I got O'niell via Admin Report but he said there was nothing he could do about it. Hopefully someone will figure it out or it will clear up. I need my nightly pew pew.

It's probably the EA master server if all of you are being effected from different geographical areas.

It must be because i was just playing on a =wck= server and i just got the same issue. Hope they resolve it... makes the game virtually unplayable.

It's all of these folks with the really high pings. I don't join a server if my ping is over 90 and there are folks on the server with pings of 170+. There was an individual on the server today with a ping of 280 I believe. Causes ghosting and other issues.

i will never have a ping <170. my ping is always about 200.

so should i stay away from tg server now? believe me, sometimes its no fun for me too, because i have the "ghosting" issue with all players.
and do you really think, that the hole server is lagging, because 2 guys have a ping over 170?

ping dsnt rly make a differene <200.. off course you wouldnt want to have 20 ppl with 150> ping... anyways thats not the cause

I don't think its the TG server. Lasty night a lot of people were getting it so we switched to another server. Same thing. Might be EA master?

Anecdotal evidence: When I logged on this morning, it was lag free for about an hour. Then lag started for several of us. I restarted my client and the lag went away for the next 30 mins or so.

suggestion: restart your client when those lag spikes hit.

last night when the insomniacs(55th) and I were playing we kept changing servers. and everytime we changed after about 10-15 the lag started happening on every server we went
