The map files are the same. So the problem is similar. And although not always needed, knowing the OS means specific help can be given. Rather than me say go to your program files folder etc, you go Applications folder. Some people might not know the map files are stored in the Application Content (If I remember correctly from what I've heard having not installed or played it on the mac, but knowing the mac well enough, that's my guess).
