Koroush Ghazi has made a tweak guide for BF2142. I like his guide it kind of helpful to use if you want to know what setting may help your FPS and etc.

He compiled a list of all the in-game tips

they make an excellent read. If EA can pull off all that they say here.. there might be a lot of strategic depth to 2142 after all...

Great information. The more I read the more I realized there is alot of depth in this game.

Well don't matter what I do it seems, when it comes down to fighting inside a titan, I'm best left outside. Still lags the holy hell out of me in there

it just means.... If you say Assault this position and your SM s fight and kill inside that order radius SL get Squad Leader Success Point. Your SM get a Bonus for kills inside the order zone too...

I am not sure about Commander arrangement.

Hopefully people will start learning that playing in a squad is better. I think this should improve gameplay. I also think this game will be really good when played the TG way. So many strategic options. But I guess we have to try it to see if that is true. I am buying this one.

Lets get those unlocks on the ranked server and schedule games lets say 3 days a week on the private unlocked server.

For this tweak guide, I think page 9 is the only relevant page for most here. The rest is just a regular users manual.

The most useful tips are all on that page:
- Disabling the Intro Movies
- Setting A Custom Resolution
- Automatic Login
- Measuring Framerate, Taking Screenshots & Recording Demo Movies

Get rid of that intro movie and manual login people. That thing is so frustrating. Especially after you get a crash to desktop.

Hi folks, new to the board and I guess this is as good a spot as any to introduce myself. I'm Analog Monk, AnlgMnk ingame. Nice to be here. Great tips!!
Now for the subject at hand. Fron my experience the above statement is correct. As a nonclan member I play with who I can. Often as commander or SL. I noticed that in games where I have an unresponsive squad or sm, As commander look in the overhead map to see where the unit is heading of its own accord and issue an order for that action. I'm sure this could be said more clearly, but basically giving them orders to do what they are gonna do anyway. Makes for some salvaged points if the players arent working as a team. I still cant get the no movie intro skip thing to work right. I can lose the movies but not the login. HELP? Love the tweaker guide. His other stuff is great as well.

the no movie or login is easy just replace your info with this and change the name and password to yours.... goto your game icon on your desktop and right click, then go to properties and at the taget area copy and paste what i post into that area.

"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\BF2142Launcher.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +eaAccountName EAACCNAME +eaAccountPassword ACCPASS +soldierName JOESHMOE

this is where your game should be located, if so just delete whats there and copy and paste the whole thing into the target area and deletethe parts eaaccname(replace with your ea account name) (your eaaccpass) (your easoldiername) but the important thing is you HAVE to leave a space inbetween, just 1 space not 2

the easiest would be if the target is the same as what i have here in your would be to copy and paste what i have right into your target area and just highlight and delete the caps and replace with your own info . if ya dont have a clue then dont do it, lol i dont wana frak up your machine if you dont know what your doing :P

it works great, no movie just strait to your game lobby

please if ya dont know what your doing do not try this at home, these are trained professtionals who cant spell for shiat because they've been working conntruction way to long and only know how to spell the beer they drink and mabe their wifes name(if ya wana remember) depending on the location your at at the time :P lol it spells it out in the tweak guide so its early here and im still only half awake and if you guys wana delete this go right ahead because im rambling now lol... if you can understand what i explained then your good to go, if not dont do it.

To add to what Cappy said you can set up an icon to go straight into the TG server

on desktop copy BF2142 login icon
rename new icon to TG Conquest
right click properties on TG conquest icon

Add this code to the end of the contents of field 'target'

This new icon will then log you straight into our conquest server

copy this new TG conquest icon on the desktop and rename to 'TG Titan' then replace 64.34.161.22 with 72.36.194.228 for icon straight into TG Titan server

This also works really well with disabling intro movies
