Installation Problem

I have a legitimate copy of the game first of all. when i try to install to the game click next to start installation and 2 windows pop up; one window is to enter the cd key and the other says that "the wizard was interrputed before battlefield 2142 could be completely installed" if i enter in my cd key and click next the install wizard just quits. on the window with the error message you can only click finish. i have tried installing in safe mode, clicking finish on the one window and then typing in the cd key, typing in the cd key with the other window still open. i even tried downloading the iso for the game offline and burning it to a cd as well as mounting the iso. both of these yield the same problem. how do i install this game anyway?

A strange problem indeed, especially that is doesn't work in safe mode. Might I suggust contacting EA?
