putting '|' character in clan tag?

uh - how do you do it? login screen (in demo) won't let me....

Not sure about demo, but in retail you type the character in to the prefix box and it doesn't show up. It does show in-game though.

ok... yeah, it doesn't recognize it in the demo - I can always edit global.con if need be.. thanks perry.

Didn't even have to edit the file, but you can just double check that it was enterred properly. Was actually able to type it in and have it show semi-properly in-game. Only semi-properly because when I'm in a vehicle and it shows the names of people in the vehicle my name shows as "Gperry". Scoreboard shows "|TG| perry" though.

I see at least one person on the server that has "|[TG]" as their prefix

Why did they even bother to put the restrictions on if they can so easily be avoided/exploited? They have to know how you can get around them (global.con), but they dont do anything about it.

You can add the "|" symbol to the clan tag directly from the game interface, the interface doesn't show the "|" when you type it, but it will show up when you enter the game.
