Where is the server?

Just wondering due to my inability to find or play on the server most of the time.
Barring the use of the TG server due to...well I don't really know. Is there some other place TG'ers are congregating so that I can get some decent squad play action?

p.s. This could just be some technical error on my part, I just am getting desperate since I can't see the server (usually).

Add everyone to the buddy list that you can. See the 'buddy list' sticky in General. Usually if the TG server is down I look where everyone else is and join that server.

This seemed pretty hidden to me, but on the right of your buddy list, there's a wide arrow tab. When you click the tab it pulls out and shows you the server names everyone is on.

Also, make sure you don't have the filter option on which will not show servers when full. This could explain why you can't see the server sometimes - because it's full. I'm pretty sure that option defaults to ON as well.

Your best bet is to add TacticalGamer to your favorites. Next time you see the server in your browser, click the + icon to the left of the name to add the server to your favorites. And worse case, you can try to connect by IP address. Just browse for a post by Lord_Jebez. He has the IP address in his signature.

And I've been wondering if I could see the server my buddies are on. Thanks for that tip, Dirty!

Thanks for all the replies, I know the address but I often can't connect. I usually use xfire to look for it since the in game browser doesn't seem to refresh the favorites corectly. Oftentimes though, the server doesn't respond to xfire, the in game browser or the advanced join by ip option. I'll be sure to add everyone to my buddy list though so I can find some teammates. Thanks again.

XFire could be the cause of no response. BF2142 doesn't officially support XFire. But right now you're not going to find any TG server. We had to let the prior one go (lag was too bad) and are having a new one setup now. Should be available any day now. Best thing to do is join the teamspeak server. People will let you know where they're playing and if we decide to jump servers because the one we're on has issues (Until our new server is up).
