ERRR Need Help

hey guys i need help with 2 things 1) every time i start it up i have to reset some keys ? they never remember ? 2) i cant be squad leader because when i hit TAB my mouse arrow wont come up so i cant command squads ? i had this with bf2 but cant remember if i had till wait till patch to fix that ? anyone no ?

The mouse cursor should come up automatically if you're on the command map. In the meantime, you can still give attack/defend orders by pointing your crosshair at control point flags and issuing an order with the commo rose.

TAB is for scoreboard, not for commands. To activate your mouse when viewing the scoreboard, right-click (it says it at the bottom of the screen).

CAPS LOCK is for the squad screen and if you are SL, that's where you set waypoints.

As far as your controls not saving, maybe your Controls.con file got corrupted.

Back up your original file in My Docs > Battlefield 2142 > Profiles > Number for your soldier > Controls.con
Delete the Controls.con file from that folder.
Start BF2142. It should be re-created with default settings, which you can tweak again in the settings section in game.
