Skip intro movies
To skip the intro movies, go into: "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Movies", and move all of the files out of the folder. you will now load to the login screen when you start the game.
Sweet eh?
And can someone verify if this will upset punkbuster or not? I wasn't sure, but I've had no problems so far. Just don't delete them for now!

Re: Skip intro movies
It doesn't mess with PB at all - this trick also worked with the demo and BF2.

I leave the files, but change the extension. It works just as dandy, and you dont have to worry about ever losing the files if something punkbuster related happens.
As well as there are File target extensions that allow you to automatically log in to your account, profile, and add the clan tag. So in essence, upon start up, you are already in the main menu logged in and ready to join a server.Focused

Re: Skip intro movies
I've tried to do the same, verified all the syntax, but it won't work. It'll just take me to the login page.

"E:\Games\Battlefield 2142\BF2142Pace.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024 +eaAccountName Sarc +eaAccountPassword mypassword +soldierName Sarc
This is exactly how I have my shortcut setup for autologin.

Re: Skip intro movies
I bought 2142 online so maybe it's a different executable. I'm not sure what else could be the problem. The eaAccountName is my login for EA Link and the soldierName is the profile name I use in game.

Re: Skip intro movies
Thats it. Different executable for EAD copy compared to a physical copy. I don't know why, but they're different.

Re: Skip intro movies
It works fine with retail, but it is case sensitive both with your account name and your character name.
