While playing on the Verdun map as a member of the EU team, I spawned at the PAC UCB. This occurred in the middle of the round and while I had my squad’s SLSB, which was placed near the Church, selected as my next spawn point. Before I consider this a mere fluke, I wondered if any other players have experienced this particular problem or something similar?

On a related note, I have also spawned on an enemy’s SLSB. At first, I thought my squad’s beacon could have been placed in its vicinity and my pod simply landed closer to the other one. However, after checking my map, I noticed the two beacons were on completely different sides of the battlefield. Unlike the situation where I spawned in the opposing team’s UCB, this particular oddity has occurred more than once. I wondered if anyone else has also experienced this problem?

This is a very strange happening. I've never had it happen (then again, I've only been playing for 2 months or so). I'm interested in learning what the problem may be here. My estimate is that it might just be a glitch.

I wanted to update this thread to make everyone aware that this is a recurring problem. Yesterday afternoon while playing on the EU team, I once again spawned at the PAC UCB on the Verdun map. This occurred well after the start of the round and while I had my squad’s SLSB selected as my spawn point. This issue is obviously a bug or glitch and something I intend to report to DICE, but I wanted to make sure our Battlefield 2142 Administrators were aware of the problem, in case another player claimed to have spawned in an enemy’s UCB by mistake.

make sure you press "done" after you choose youre new spawn point...sometimes i forget and you spawn at your last picked spawn point

I did consider that this may have been the cause of my problem, but the enemy’s UCB is not a selectable spawn point on the Verdun map.

Playing Gibraltar as the attackers I was with my squad and died. When I went to respawn the SLSB showed all the way back at the EU base. So I spawned and took the flag. It has only happened that one time.

I have had instances as a squad leader where an enemy squad spawned on me.
In one instance, I remember having dropped the spawn beacon, it was destroyed, then I picked up an enemy kit and dropped that spawn beacon, then picked it up. I imagine what I did was pick up an enemy squad leader's beacon and set it as my own, allowing the enemy to spawn on me. I'm fairly sure this is an unintended game mechanic, but with a little imagination it makes sense that it might happen in the "real" bf2142 world.
