    Gone to heck

My framerates and bandwidth have been devoured. It's so bad when the game uses the in game aknowledgement "Check" its rendered as C-c-c-ch-ch-eck. I have no idea why this is happening now and have attempted to resolve it via bypassing router, upgrading drivers/pukbuster, checking with my provider. I'm unable to resolve it and there are no other issues wiht the computer that I can detect via logfiles or odd behavior. Its killing my ability to play.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I am currently running sound of my motherboard. I put in a soundcard (creative) at the start of Jan and 2142 sound went bad. FPS were as before but all the comms sounds were C-C-ch-e-e-ck or En-En-e-e-m-my. VOIP was fine, game sounds eg explosions firing were fine. It was just the comm sound effects all stretched out and broken. This was purely a sound issue FPS were not effected. I switched back to motherboard sound and all was ok again

    hope that helps.

it's just as stressful as a 32 player game since the bots need to be loaded directly onto your pc.

Ok its something to do with the system I was on, perhaps the video card. It might be related to the power supply which I think is a little under gunned for a 512 card. I was playing on my older machine and don't have the same issue.

    Question Re: Gone to heck

How much ram does your system have? And have you defragmented your hard drive lately?
